Yes McCain did switch his opinion. But, his initial opinion was formed back when gas was much less expensive. Now that gas has skyrocketed it shows that McCain is logical and humble enough to see that he is wrong and make a change that he is not going to waiver on. Obama on the other hand continued to object to drilling despite the fact it would help us. It's like how he wouldn't admit that the surge in Iraq did what it was supposed when he voted against the surge because he said it would be an absolute failure. Obama is to thick headed and egotistic to realize that when he is wrong he should admit he was wrong and do what is best for the American people.
