seriously? are you kidding me? this is getting really ridiculous now. I understand some people enjoy the mac look and feel and i also understand that the people who enjoy the mac look and feel run macs. the ubuntu "art team" constantly has revealed themselves to be apple-wannabe "artists". Whatever happened to the day when there was a drive to make your desktop just functional? cde was great (those who say otherwise aren't from a unix background and probably run macs anyway), indigo magic desktop was brilliant, the 98 & 2000 windows gui was incredible and mac has a great desktop as well. but do we really need another what-would-an-ugly-ass-brown-osx-look-like_intrepid_ubuntu1 theme? ***** sake. i think this is only brought to light so well because of the direction of gnome as a whole since the 2.x series came out. 2.x marks the spot where the gnome developers themselves basically regulated themselves to be the makers of a desktop environment that copies EVERYTHING from windows and mac because it's more "friendly" looking. i just.......argh, i guess i'm just ranting. i remember back during my red hat 6.x series days when the gnome desktop was aweseome, functional and friggin fast! now it is just a ***** mac impersonation. blah.
