I was put on administrative leave a few years ago for supposedly showing high school kids how to hack! All I did was show them how to use telnet to log onto remote machines in the 100% Linux computer lab I ran. For some reason rumors went around that I was teaching them how to hack and then somehow a story about getting around the county firewall to access porn was thrown in and I was immediately put on administrative leave! I was back at work a couple weeks later without any loss of pay, BUT it's amazing how incredibly stupid and gullible those in positions of authority can be when it comes to hot button topics. I guess they figure it's better to be safe than sorry... but the problem is that in their endeavors to be safe they forget to be fair! (Oh, and I should mention that the MS Windows crowd criticized my choice of OS every chance they got and they were a bit too gleeful when I was put on leave... not that any of them had anything to do with exaggerating the claims made against me!) tattoo designs cross
